Lt. Shree Girish Makwana

About Us

Lt. Shree Girish Makwana was born on 30th December 1946 in the serene town of Khambhat, Gujarat. From an early age, he was a man of immense passion for literature and a heart dedicated to social service. His life reflected simplicity, honesty, and a profound sense of responsibility towards society. He was always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need, making him a figure of inspiration for everyone around him.

A true admirer of the arts, he graduated in the field of Arts, nurturing his love for literature and poetry. His words carried emotions, wisdom, and a sense of connection that could touch every reader's soul. Writing poetry wasn’t just a pastime for him—it was his way of expressing beauty, truth, and life’s deeper meanings.

In his professional journey, Lt. Shree Girish Makwana served the Government of Gujarat with exemplary dedication and honesty. Starting his career as a Civil Services Officer, he rose through the ranks to retire as an Under Secretary. His work was marked by integrity and a deep commitment to public service.

Despite his significant career achievements, it was his literary pursuits and compassionate nature that defined him as a person. He dreamt of publishing his poetry collection, a vision that remained unfulfilled as he passed away on 26th December 2015. However, his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the poetic treasures he left behind.

As his son, I, Jigar Makwana, have taken the responsibility of fulfilling his dream by creating this website to share his poetry with the world. This platform is not just a tribute to my father’s remarkable life but also an effort to keep his spirit alive and inspire others to express their creativity through words.
